Why I am Running
I did not run for office because it seemed like a fun thing to do. I ran because I kept showing up to community events, knocking on doors across District 22, and hearing the same thing over and over from my neighbors: they love this county, and they feel like no one in government is listening.
So I decided to be the person who listens.
I came within 7 votes of the incumbent in the primary. Seven. This race is real, it is close, and every single door we knock and every single vote we earn matters. We are not done yet.

Since launching this campaign, I have knocked on hundreds of doors across District 22, written postcards to voters, attended candidate forums on public education funding, shown up at community events, and talked to as many neighbors as I can find. This is a grassroots campaign built on actual conversations, not mailers from a distance.

Meet Lesley
I’m not a career politician — I’m a working mom who cares, someone who knows how to juggle a hundred things at once, and someone who refuses to sit back while our county struggles with the same problems year after year. After running a non-profit children’s theatre for 13 years and then being a top administrator at a high school, I know how to roll up my sleeves and get it done. I believe in practical solutions, teamwork, and listening to the people who actually live here.
