I am not a career politician. I am your neighbor.
I have spent over 25 years showing up for communities. As a parent of three, a small business owner, a nonprofit leader, and a current member of the PTSO Executive Committee at Mt. Juliet High School, I know what it looks like when institutions work for families and when they do not.
I came to this race because I saw a community that people genuinely love, represented by a commission that too many of those people feel disconnected from. I decided the way to fix that was to run.
In the primary, I came within 7 votes of the incumbent in a district that has never had a candidate from my party on the ballot before. That result told me something: people are ready for a different kind of voice at the table.
I have spent this campaign knocking doors, writing postcards, attending forums, and listening. That will not stop when I am elected. It is just how I operate.
